Brussels, Belgium (November 1st, 1998) - STATSnet sprl opened Counted! (www.counted.com) for a beta testing phase today. Counted! provides webmasters with detailed and free website statistics and websurfers with a ranked site directory.

Counted! combines and extends the ideas behind one of the most important services for webmasters, statistical analysis, and probably the most important websurfer service out there, namely a search engine. Because of the statistics that Counted! gathers about its member sites, the directory and search engine can base a lot of its ranking on the actual popularity of a given site, helping the surfers find what they want: quality information.

During the beta phase Counted! will be tested under normal operation and new features will be added based on feedback we receive from our members. We can not guarantee that the service will not lose information during this beta testing phase, but we will of course make sure we keep this loss of information to a minimum.

There are also a few major parts of the service which are still being finished or expanded. Those are the actual keyword search engine and the account admin, which lets our members change settings in their account. While the account admin does not work, all changes can be sent in via eMail and will be done by one of our admins.
